Canadian Costco shoppers say the store’s bakery department has some incredible hidden gems.
TikToker Charisse Borines featured a $49.99 case of 336 frozen buns. His Local Costco offers affordable bulk options of cookie dough, hamburger buns, apple turnovers, croissants, baguettes, bagels and tuxedo cake. options are available in personand some are online in Canadaalthough they don’t seem to be available in the US at all.
Borines gave a quick tutorial on how she makes frozen Costco buns.
First, she placed them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Then she let them rise for about an hour at 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
After they doubled in size, she brushed them with an egg wash and baked them at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 13 minutes.
“There you have it, mini brioche buns fresh out of the oven,” she says. said.
Many TikTokers were (cautiously) envious of the amount of brioche.
“I don’t know if I could handle having such easy access to fresh, warm bread,” one user commented.
“The liability that comes with a case of 360 pieces of frozen dough turning into warm pillows of freshly baked bread is just too much,” a TikToker replied.
