Whether it’s a lazy Sunday morning or you’ve just had a hard day, there’s nothing quite like delicious, freshly baked pastries. While you can always go to the trouble of baking and other treats yourself, we like to leave it to the experts, like the friendly and talented folks at Gold Camp Bakery in Colorado:
Located in the small town of Victor, Gold Camp Bakery & Deli is a local institution specializing in German and American favorites.
Owned by Gertrud and Ralf, who first visited Victor in 1998 and moved there from Fulda, Germany in 2000, your Gold Camp experience begins as soon as you enter, thanks to the enticing aroma, welcoming staff and breathtaking selection.
What kind of products will you find at Gold Camp Bakery? A little bit of everything, starting with authentic German pastries with soft pretzels, turnovers, a Black Forest cake and bee stings (butter sugar almonds toasted on a vanilla whipped cream wrapped in sweet yeast dough, pictured).
In addition to these German standards, Gold Camp also offers delicious American favorites including apple pie, cinnamon rolls and muffins.
I’ll take one of each, please!
As the restaurant’s name suggests, there’s even a deli that serves fresh and tasty sandwiches, made-to-order salads, and soup.
