From e-commerce cookies to the company’s flagship store, this bakery is poised to make a splash on the New Jersey baking scene.
Kirshenbaum Baking Co. is set to open in Westfield later in September.
The French patisserie-inspired bakery and cafe will occupy 2,400 square feet of space at 62 Elm St.
Although the company has yet to announce an exact opening date, a grand opening ceremony is scheduled for September 28.
Kirshenbaum Baking Co. will offer pastries, muffins, breads, artisan sandwiches, signature cakes, croissants, donuts, slice pies and other baked goods.
Brewed coffee from Boxwood roasters coffee beans and imported teas will also be available.
“The menu is inspired by my 20-year culinary journey to Paris, Las Vegas and Los Angeles where I had the chance to work with top chefs and hone my craft,” said Uyen Kirshenbaum, co-owner of Kirshenbaum Baking Co. .
Kirshenbaum worked as a pastry chef for two decades and ran dessert operations at a two-Michelin-starred restaurant.
The business started when Kirshenbaum, alongside her husband and co-owner Jeff, decided to start an online cookie business at the start of the pandemic.
The new Westfield Bakery will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Tuesday to Friday) and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday). It will be closed on Monday.
